Ali was born in India, grew up in Dubai, and migrated to Canada in 2002 to pursue his further education. He graduated with a Bachelor of Biology with Honours from McGill University in 2006, and obtained a Master of Science in Medical Genetics from the University of British Columbia in 2009. Inspired by a visit to a Physiotherapist for an injury, and with a drive to work with and help people, he pursued and obtained a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2013.
Ali has experience working with a variety of orthopaedic and neurological conditions. He is certified in soft tissue release, and is currently pursuing training in manual therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He is a Contemporary Medical Acupuncture provider, certified in Mulligan mobilization, McKenzie protocol and Neuro-Kinetic Therapy (NKT). Ali adheres to the philosophy of individualized care, which is incorporating hands-on techniques and active exercises geared towards the patient’s individual needs and goals, to ultimately attain optimal quality of life and function.
Ali spends his spare time engaging in various hobbies ranging from active to creative. He is an avid baker, knitter, runner, and is learning to play the guitar. Ali will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-8pm and Saturdays from 9-3pm
